All of our athletes that advanced will now compete here. This is also where the affiliate competition will be held.
My plan is to run a competition to make our affiliate team. This competition will consist of 4-5 WODs to be done over a two day period, scheduled for April 17th and 18th.
This gives our athletes competing at the Sectionals time to recover and also enough time for those that make the team to train together for a month out of the games.
Mark your calendars! There will be no excuses, if you can’t complete the WODs that weekend you won’t make the team. This is over 3 months out, plenty of time to make any changes you need to your schedule. Imagine it is the Games, this is the weekend it will be held, show up!
For each WOD you will need a coach present to score and judge you. The WODs we will use will be announce a few days prior to the dates we set. Prepare for anything, if you have weakness I suggest you work them.
Once we finalize our team, I would like everyone to be training together. There might be injuries, emergencies, etc., and we will need back up. Plus, we will hit team WODs and we will need some competition to challenge one another.
Once we finalize our team, we will have one (possibly two) times per week where all team members must compete together. I am willing to go with the best time for the majority of the group, but, you must be there if you plan on being on the team. If work, family, kids, animals, friends, life prohibits you from doing so, that is fine, but you will not be able to be on our team. Imagine this were a college sport, you can practice whenever is convenient for you, but if the coach schedules practice you MUST be there.
