So, can we all agree Andy is out of his mind? He has been talking about doing "Murphy" in his full combat gear for months now and I nod my head and say, "great idea", never thinking he'd actually do it. Well, as I'm pulling in this morning, I see some camouflage running by and I realize, he is certifiable, he is doing "Murphy" in full gear! But, Andy is one tough SOB, it was hot out, it was hot in the room, but he pushed himself and finished a full "Murphy" in combat gear in 58 minutes. Bad Ass!
Saturday's classes are jam packed with athletes, energy, and enthusiasm. If classes stay this crazy we will add more to the schedule come Fall/Winter. We had 35 CrossFitters raring to go and they hit the WOD hard. We had the father and son team of Brett and Ken giving it their all. What a great role model Brett is to Ken. Can you imagine how your life would be different if your father was teaching you CrossFit at such a young age?
Whenever running is involved in the WOD seems like Shye is the man to beat. Now that he has got his kipping down, his times are dropping significantly.
Our newest member Victor hit his first day and first WOD this morning. This guy is tough, he is a serious rower, in the navy, and has completed triathlons, watch out for this guy!
Abbey is quietly becoming quite the athlete. Her form is improving everyday and she is pushing harder than ever.
Check out Joy's 6-Pack, the woman is an animal! She is an amazing athlete, she attends the 5:45am class Monday through Friday and has made leaps and bounds in her fitness level.
Great to have Jess Cole back in action. She has been MIA these past couple of weeks claiming she's working too much. Get your butt in here Jess, your body doesn't care about how much work GE wants you to do…priorities, priorities!
Hope everyone enjoyed the little snatch seminar after class. It is probably the hardest exercise we do in CrossFit. Keep practicing. I am always happy to answer questions, critique your form, or help you with anything, so just ask. We'll practice it more and more, and get ready for the Snatch to start appearing in some of our WODs.
Don't forget I upload all of the photos I take into the monthly photo albums. There is a bound to be some horrible shots of every one of you!
