Science of Exercise

by Jason

Greeting from Texas!  We are learning so much about the science behind the madness, now we won't be yelling at you just for the fun of it!  Stay warm!

Jason with Coach Glassman Science of Exercise Cert

From Niki:

It was very deceptive outside today; the sun was shining and the roads were clear, but it was bitter cold. That did not deter the Saturday morning folks from coming to ACF. Today was like a wedding day: there was old faces, new faces, borrowed and blue (well, maybe not blue).

Kelly and Dave, who have been missed, were back and ready to work hard. Dave decided to challenge himself and do 30' box jumps and tackle the much neglected double unders. Even though Kelly had a sprained wrist, it didn't stop her from today's WOD. She was able to complete the workout with mostly lower body exercises.

Welcome to Justin and Cliff who are new to ACF. They did a killer workout and even improved their form during the WOD  although they were fatigued.

It was nice to see Rich visiting from Kentucky who is planning on attending his area's Crossfit qualifiers. ACF is always open to "borrowing" crossfitters from out of town who are ready to kill any workout given to them. Great job Rich and to all who worked very hard on Viv's last day of programming. Everyone has definitely been improving on their technique over the past few months. Staying in from the cold has had a positive effect on the crossfitters at ACF.

Jason during a set of 20 reps with 235 a good fitness definition?
