Northeast Qualifier – We opened registration this morning and already had over 50 people sign up. Do not hesitate to register. This will sell out!
After the CFT today Jackie pulled me aside and said, "there is just so much good and positive energy here", and we couldn't agree more. Today was absolutely magical, as Eugene said, "all workout bring out the best in you, but nothing brings out the camaraderie like a CFT. I am so proud to be a part of this gym, and friends with all of you."
We had some incredible numbers today, and lots of PRs, look for full results here on Monday. The girls were absolutely amazing. Forget about the fact that they are incredibly strong, they are just so much fun to be around. They cheer for each other on every lift, are positive, and super encouraging. No one was more entertaining than our 3rd grade teacher Diane, as she was stomping around the room, yelling, screaming, and just having a great time.
Some huge numbers were put up by the men today. Eugene and Anthony were going back and forth with huge squats, big presses, and insane deadlifts, these guys are serious! Thanks to all of our coaches, Niki, Joy, Jess Lasky, and Jess Dunn for doing a great job, keeping everything running smoothly and organized, and ensuring proper form and technique on all the lifts.
Pullup Challenge Results – The Top 5:
1. Shye Evan – 2500
2. Marine Mike – 2260
3. Mike "the teacher" – 2160
4. Lenora/Joy – 1000
5. Dona – 730
Great job everyone that participated. It wasn't about getting the most pullups, well, it was…but no matter what you challenged yourself, and improved your pullups. Get in on the January Challenge!
From Dave and Kelly:
Hello and Happy New Year! We're right now anchored off of Munjack Cay off of Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas. Having an absolutely fantastic time. Snorkelling and shell hunting and playing games and partying with the locals! Don't get much internet access but will write when possible. Hope all is well back in Albany. We're sending warm thoughts your way. Love, Dave & Kelly

“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.”
I could not agree more with all of the recent comments on how great ACF is. I was skeptical before joining due to my limited strength and how accepting everyone would really be. Well, boy was I surprised. After yesterday’s CFT it was so apparent how supportive and encouraging everyone is, not just the trainers. Between all the high fives and cheering and the “you can do it”s I really felt pride to be there. Then to get together in a relaxed and fun way at the holiday party was just great. All this proving that ACF is a truly great community. So, thank you to all, and keep up the great work.
