That is how Catherine approached her first day at Albany CrossFit and has never looked back, which is why we are proud to recognize Catherine as our March 2009 Member of the Month. Catherine brings a positive attitude and a friendly smile with her on a daily basis. We have seen Catherine go from strong to freakishly strong in a few short months. We knew she was going to an animal the first time we saw her hit some heavy lifts, but had no idea what was in store and more importantly what is still to come.
Coming in with a few goals, she has knocked them all down one by one. From a 250 Back Squat, to a 350 Deadlift, to an incredible 8:10.7 2k Row, Catherine has been a one woman wrecking machine. She listens and does everything we ask of her and it shows.
Demonstrating that you can't just rely on one aspect of fitness, Catherine does not just end with heavy lifts, she has improved her running and is doing a great job focusing on her bodyweight movements such as pullups, ring dips, and pushups.
We are so proud to have Catherine on our team and look forward to continued improvements and helping her along her fitness journey!
Congratulations to Pat for completing the 100 day burpee challenge. Pat had to start a bit ahead of us do to a scheduling conflict and he finished his 100th day of burpees this morning. He did a great job on this long and grueling challenge, we look forward to hearing more about it from his perspective.
