Listen, it doesn’t happen overnight.

You can’t get frustrated with yourself.

Building strength, hitting a pullup, getting a double-under, going RX’d… it just takes time.

I know it may feel disappointing at times. I have experienced it full heartedly and understand that it is nearly impossible to ignore. Trust in that it is all part of the process and that you will get there. Remember that these abilities are earned through patience and persistence.

Not to mention, sacrifice.

You have to work on those thrusters no matter how much they make you spew.
You must come in when you don’t feel like it.

It doesn’t happen overnight.

And it won’t happen if you ignore the accomplishments you’ve made thus far, no matter how small they may seem. Who care’s if the guy next to you has pull-ups? You’ve just dropped from the green to the blue band, which means you’re progressing. That is huge.

Focus on who you are and where you are in your training. You must be patient with yourself.
