“Gym” is a nickname for gymnasium, which is an athletic facility equipped for sports or physical training. How many gyms today are truly equipped for sports and physical training? Many contemporary designs offer equipment for use. Some supply supervision from trainers. But do these environments truly live up to the original definition?
No, they do not. Like much of our culture, crucial foundations have been lost to convenience. Ironically, this is to our detriment. That’s where Albany CrossFit breaks from the pack. We offer an environment conducive to the original construction. We are a gym, in the sense that we provide a place to train for something greater. Our goal is not to clock hours on treadmills or elliptical machines, going nowhere. Rather we strive to prepare our clients for the greatest physical challenge of all—Life.
