Get your hands into some bone marrow-y goodness! (or, how to cook a marrow bone)

As promised, it is easy to cook and unbelievably accessible. Not to mention bone marrow is incredibly nutritious…

Enjoy!

GET YOUR HANDS IN SOME BONE MARROW-Y GOODNESS (or, how to cook a marrow bone).

Ingredients:

– 2-4 marrow bones (they are usually bloody and full of white marrow when you purchase them, either from your CSA or local butcher— don’t be intimidated. This is what we want!)

– sea salt

(that’s it)

1) Pre-heat oven to 375. In a large baking bowl, place marrow bones facing upward (it looks awkward) and sprinkle sea salt on top. Flip them, and then sprinkle sea salt on the other end of the bone. You will want salt around them in the bowl, also, as the marrow will drip out into the bowl (yum).

2) Cook marrow bones both facing upward for about 30min or until marrow is liquified in center.

Bon appetit!
