Our newest Paleo Challenge begins on Monday, January 4th, 2010. This challenge will be based on a Point System. The goal is to accumulate as little points as possible during the challenge. The challenge will run through February 4th, 2010.
The Point System will run as follows:
Perfect Paleo Day = 0 Points
1 Serving of a “better” cheat = 1 Point
Example: Dark Chocolate, Whey Protein, Peanuts, Peanut Butter
1 Serving of a “less favorable cheat = 2 Points
Example: Ice Cream, bread, rice, potatoes, candy, pasta, oatmeal
1 Serving of any alcoholic Beverage = 3 points
Full Cheat Meal = 5 points
Example: Spaghetti and Meatball, sandwich, Sushi with rice, Pizza
Full Cheat Day = 12 Points
Be sure to post to comments if you are in. There will be a $20 buy-in which can be paid for through your Mind Body account, but cash is preferred. Sign-up will be closed Friday, January 1st at 11:59pm.
To participate in the Challenge you must keep a Nutrition Log on the Message Board.
We would also like to take Before and After pictures for anyone that is interested.
Remember, the goal of this challenge is to eat as close to perfect Paleo as possible. Try to keep all processed foods to a minimum even if they are considered Paleo. Examples: salami, deli meat, bacon, etc.
This will be based on the Honor System.
