Thor vs. Cindy

John “Thor” Johnson -1 Cindy – 0.  John did outstanding today as he hit 117 rounds of “Cindy” in 3 hours.  Thanks to everyone that came in to cheer him on and donate to a great cause.  If you would still like to make a donation, you can do so all week.  All in all John hit 585 pullups, 1,170 pushups, and 1,755 squats!

From John Johnson:

I’ll probably be out most of this week recovering from Saturday but if I don’t get a chance to thank each of you personally I wanted to say thanks to everyone for their generosity and support! I was overwhelmed by it and am incredibly grateful to be part of such a great group of people. I need to specifically thank Matt for doing a great job taping up my hands. If my hands had ripped I never would have been able to get as far as I did. Thanks to Jared for getting me the beer for after and thanks to Gene for sticking around and taking some great pictures.  Thanks for supporting such a great cause!

Written prior:

On May 31st my friend Sarah is running a marathon in San Diego to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. She set a fund raising goal of $4000.00 and I figured we at Albany Crossfit could help her out. On Saturday May 9th I am going to do 3 hours of “Cindy” (5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats) with a goal of reaching at least 100 rounds. I’m asking if anyone could make a donation based on how ever many rounds I complete. Whether it be 25 cents, 50 cents, or even a dollar per round.

All donations are tax deductible and once I complete all three hours you can make donations on her page here.  All generosity is greatly appreciated and all are welcome to come watch me potentially get rhabdo.

Thanks everyone!
