Friday Night Fights: The Hunger Games

Friday November 9th 5:45-8:00pm

  • Gym Class Schedule: Last regular class of the day is the 12:00 pm (NOON).
  • Charity: This event will raise funds for Barbells For Boobs
  • Event Cost: $10 per person. All proceeds go to Barbells for Boobs.
  • Drop In: $20 per person for non-gym members.
  • Registration Deadline: Thursday, November 8th. No last minute registrations will be accepted.

Judging Standards: The Hunger Games will use CrossFit Open standards for all movements unless otherwise specified.

Divisions: Athletes will compete as individuals at this event in the RX, Scale 1, or Scale 2 divisions. All athletes will participate in 3 workouts over the course of the evening.

RX Division: The RX division is designed for athletes with a strong foundation in CrossFit. Athletes will be tested across all of the domains of fitness.

Scale 1 Division: Scale 1 athletes should expect to see scaled versions of standard CrossFit movements. Examples would be Matador Dips instead of Ring Dips, reduced heights on Rope Climbs, and reduced weights on barbell exercises.

Scale 2 Division: Scale 2 athletes should expect to see scaled versions of standard CrossFit movements. Examples would be Ring Push-Ups instead of Ring Dips, Ring Rows instead of Pull Ups, or reduced weights on barbell exercises.

* Add 1 Thruster and 1 Calorie each round.

Scale 1 Division:

3 Thrusters (65/45)

3 Calorie Row

* Add 1 Thruster and 1 Calorie each round

Scale 2 Division:

On The Minute:

3 Dumbbell Thrusters (25/12 per hand)

3 Calorie Row

* Add 1 Dumbbell Thruster and 1 Calorie each round.

Scoring:  Athletes will add repetitions to both movements until they can no longer complete the work within the minute round. Score is rounds and reps completed.

Weighted AB Mat Sit-Ups (20/14 Wall Ball)

* 6 Min. Time Cap.

Scale 1 Division:

21-15-9 of:

Deadlifts (125/85)

Weighted AB Mat Sit-Ups (14/10 Wall Ball)

* 6 Min. Time Cap.

Scale 2 Division:

21-15-9 of:

Kettlebell Deadlifts (53/35)

AB Mat Sit-Ups

* 6 Min. Time Cap.

Scoring: The score is the time it takes athletes to complete 21-15-9 of both exercises.

5 Burpees Over the Bar

Scoring: The score is rounds and reps completed.
