  • Do I need any CrossFit experience to get started?

    Not at all. The free coach consult is specifically designed for people who are new to CrossFit or returning after time away. Our coaches work with all fitness levels and will meet you exactly where you are.


  • What happens when I fill out the form?

    A coach will reach out to schedule your free 15-minute consult. We're flexible on how we connect: email, text, or phone, whatever works best for you. From there, you'll talk through your goals, get any questions answered, and figure out what getting started looks like. No pressure, no commitment required.


  • What do you talk about on the free consult?

    Whatever is most useful to you. Most people want to know what a typical class looks like, whether CrossFit is right for their fitness level, and what the first few weeks would look like. The coach will also ask about your goals so they can point you toward the right program.


  • How soon will a coach reach out after I fill out the form?

    You'll hear from us within 24 hours, usually sooner. If you have a preferred way to connect (call, text, or email) or a time that works best, just mention it in the form and we'll work around your schedule.


  • Am I fit enough to start CrossFit?

    Yes. CrossFit is designed to be scaled to any fitness level and every movement and workout can be modified based on where you're starting from. If you have specific concerns, the free consult is the perfect place to bring them up. Our coaches are straightforward and will give you an honest answer.


  • How long does the free consult take?

    It's a 15-minute conversation with one of our coaches by phone, text, or email, whatever you're most comfortable with. Short, low-key, and focused on you, not a sales pitch.


  • How much does a membership cost?

    We offer several membership options based on what you're looking to do at the facility. Whether you're here for the weight room and cardio equipment, our courts, or CrossFit classes, there's a membership built around your goals. For CrossFit specifically, we offer unlimited classes on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. The best way to find out what fits your situation is to book a free consult and your coach will walk you through the options on the call.

  • Is there any cost or commitment involved in the consult?

    None. The consult is completely free and there's no obligation to sign up afterward. It's simply a conversation to help you decide if Albany CrossFit is the right fit.


  • I'm nervous about walking into a CrossFit gym for the first time. Is that normal?

    Completely normal. Most of our members felt the same way before their first contact. That's exactly why we start with a consult instead of just throwing you into a class. You'll know what to expect before you ever walk through the door.


  • What makes Albany CrossFit different from a regular gym?

    At a regular gym, you're on your own. At Albany CrossFit, every class is coached, every workout is programmed with a purpose, and you're training alongside a community that shows up for each other.
